Getting Started

Important Dates & Deadlines

The last day to apply for admission for Spring quarter 2012 is Tuesday March 20. Applications submitted after that date will be accepted for Summer quarter 2012.

Apply for Financial Aid

  • Access Financial Aid Information and Applications: Go to Financial Aid for information about filling out the FAFSA- Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You can also get information regarding scholarships, grants, loans, work-study and important deadlines.

Take a Placement Assessment

  • If you plan to get a degree or certificate, or transfer to a four-year institution, you need to take a placement assessment.

Meet an Advisor

  • Meet with an entry advisor before registering for classes. The advisor will help you interpret your placement scores and select your first-quarter classes.

Register & Pay

  • Online: Go to Student Kiosk and access links to register and pay online (you will need a PIN number).
  • In Person: After you and your advisor determine your schedule, register and pay your tuition and fees at the Cashier in the Admissions Center. Normally (except when registering during the summer for fall quarter) you must pay by the Friday after you register. If you need more time to pay, consider purchasing a tuition deferment. For $10, you can delay payment until the week before classes start.

Get Your PIN

  • When you register, get your PIN number to access services in the Student Kiosk.

Get a Parking Decal & Student I.D.

  • Parking Decal: parking decals are issued at the Entry Center upon payment of registration fees. Parking instructions are provided with the decal.
  • Student ID: Student ID cards are issued at the Student Activities Office in the Student Center.

Buy Books

  • Textbooks may be purchased online or in person at the LCC Bookstore.
