Library Services

LCC Library Services houses the college's media and print collections and includes databases you can access.

If you are doing research for a class assignment, reference librarians are available to help. Reserve course materials from instructors are also available.

Library Services provides downloadable documents that explain research strategies, lists of web databases, online newspapers, and recommendations for searching the Internet.

Archive

The Lower Columbia College Archive contains a rich collection of materials representing over 75 years of college history.

Digital Archive Project
A permanent collection of materials representing Lower Columbia College's history is scheduled to be available to the public soon.

Historical materials will be accessible through a searchable database, including:

  • posters
  • correspondence, newspapers
  • journals
  • videos
  • guest books
  • press clippings

Tutoring Services

Tutoring Services offers students free tutoring in nearly every subject. Services vary to suit students needs and schedules.

Individual and group tutoring are available. Well-qualified tutors help students in most college subjects, including composition, grammar and punctuation, and other writing issues.

Tutors are trained to help students master subject matter, improve study skills and develop self confidence. Tutoring Services also provides some online help.
