|Erin Brown, Executive Director of Foundation & College Development
The Lower Columbia College Foundation was established in 1976 through generous gifts from Phillip and Jeanne Wertheimer.
The vision of the Wertheimer family, along with then LCC President David Story and the members of the initial Foundation Board of Directors, was to create avenues for excellence in education at LCC.
The Wertheimer Society
In honor of LCC’s first benefactors, the Wertheimer Society has been established to recognize and honor donors who have generously provided, or plan to provide, gifts to the Lower Columbia College Foundation through bequests, trusts, and other life income gifts.
Society membership is a reflection of the highest of values and commitment to future educational excellence at LCC.
You can make a difference.
With your financial help, the college will be able to provide scholarships to worthy students. Your investment will help secure first-rate faculty, develop technology and programs that improve teaching and learning, and maintain and improve the quality of the campus infrastructure. Your generous gift will ensure the continuity of the institution for many generations to come.
To Become a Society Member
Becoming a member of the Wertheimer Society is simple. If you have named Lower Columbia College in your will or have otherwise included the institution in your estate plans, you are already a member. If you have not yet notified us of your bequest, please contact the Lower Columbia College Foundation today to inform us of your decision.
