Student and community musicians with strong musical skills and good music reading ability are invited to join the Jazz Ensemble or Symphonic Band.
Band concerts are performed quarterly. The band often features a special guest soloist, usually an outstanding vocalist or instrumentalist. The Spring quarter concert showcases winners of special student auditions. In addition to headlining the concert, the student soloists receive a music scholarship. ASLCC and the the LCC Foundation provide additional financial support.

The honor band is guest-directed by some of America's outstanding band directors, such as Prof. Rodney Winther, from Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
Students and community musicians who perform on woodwind, brass, or percussion instruments are encouraged to join the band. A brief audition and interview are required before registration, with or without credit.
Also, you may join the band as a Continuing Education non-credit class or for 2 credits of Music 130 (up to 7 quarters).
Every Monday from 7 - 8:40 pm in the Rose Center for the Arts.
