The Testing Center provides a variety of testing services to students, community members and businesses.

Placement Testing

Students who plan to earn a degree or certificate or transfer to a four-year institution need to have their skill levels assessed before meeting with an advisor or registering for classes.

CLEP Testing

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) gives students the opportunity to receive college credit for what they already know. If a student earns qualifying scores on any one or more of the 35 CLEP examinations, they can receive credit for that specific subject.

New Student Orientation

Contact the Testing Center to make an appointment to attend New Student Orientation (required for all new students).

Test Proctoring Center

For students who need to take an instructor assigned test in a supervised environment.

Running Start Testing

For high school students seeking admission to the Running Start Program.

General Education Development (GED)

For students who have prepared and are ready to take the GED tests measuring high school-level skills and knowledge.

Employment Testing

For local business and industry who need to test employees or pre-screen hiring candidates. Includes Workkeys job skills assessment system.

Workforce Development

For community members and/or students who must obtain health, food handler, safety or other types of certifications.

CASAS Appraisal

For students seeking to enroll in Adult Basic Education or English-as-a-Second Language courses.

Nursing Admissions Testing

For students seeking admission to the LCC Nursing Program.


For students earning a degree in welding.

Food Handler Testing

For students and community members who desire to or have been working in food service or related fields.
