Lower Columbia College Veterans' Services is committed to ensuring that all veterans, active duty personnel, reservists, and their families are aware of the benefits and resources entitled to them. Veterans' Services will provide professional assistance with applying for and using these benefits.
LCC participates in the following VA educational programs
- Post-9/11 GI Bill
- Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty program based on the veteran's active military service
- Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve program for military reserve and National Guard service
- V.A. Vocational Rehabilitation program for veterans with service-connected disabilities
- Survivors and Dependents Educational Assistance program
New students are advised to apply for VA benefits no later than one month prior to the first day of class, in order to have the best chance to receive their benefits by the first week of the quarter.
Each quarter, all Veteran students must inform Veterans' Services of final enrollment in classes in order to be certified and receive their benefits for the quarter.

LCC programs are approved for VA educational benefits by the Higher Education Coordinating Board
- The college offers approved educational programs to eligible veterans and eligible dependents of deceased or totally disabled veterans under Title 38 and Title 10, U.S. Code.
- LCC staff provide assistance with completing the process to apply for college funds, veteran's health benefits and other college services.
- Resident veterans who served, or who provided direct support to American soldiers, in a combat zone may also qualify for special tuition rates and other financial aid.
- Veterans planning to enroll at LCC are encouraged to familiarize themselves with available VA Education Benefits at gibill.va.gov.

Longview Housing Authority - Longview Housing Authority (LHA) in partnership with the Cowlitz Valley VFW #1045, the Dept. of Veteran Affairs, and the local VA Medical Center, are assisting homeless veterans and their families become residentially stable and self-sufficient. Veteran TBRA is a transitional housing program helping veterans with up to 24 months of rental assistance and supportive services.
