Volleyball Coaching Staff

Marci GilchristMarcy Gilchrist, Head Coach
Marcy Gilchrist is in her third season as head coach for the Red Devil volleyball program. As Marcy Watkins, Gilchrist played at Lower Columbia College during the 1991 NWAACC championship season, where she garnered MVP of the NWAACC tournament.

Marcy works in the Lower Columbia College Running Start office. Following her playing days at LCC she took her talents to Central Washington University for the following three years where she was selected as a 2nd team all conference pick. She graduated with a B.A. in political science in 1995. Her coaching career began that same year as the head varsity volleyball coach at Kalama High School. She then took over the varsity squads at Madison High School in Portland, Sandy (Ore.) High School and Three Rivers Christian. She also served as an assistant at LCC for three seasons in 2001-03. Marcy has also been an active coach in the Cowlitz Volleyball Club since 2000 and is currently the assistant coach for the 18's ASICS team.

Marcy was a former R.A. Long standout from 1987-89, where she led the Lumberjills to three consecutive state volleyball tournaments, finishing 8th, 2nd, and 3rd respectively. She captained two of those teams, appeared on the All State team, as well as being named to the All League & All District teams twice.

Marcy and her husband Brian live in Longview with their three daughters Danielle, Madison, and Mackenzie.

Kayli AndersonKayli Anderson, Assistant
Kayli Anderson played at Lower Columbia College during the 2004 and 2005 seasons earning the MVP of the Western Division both years. After graduating, Anderson continued her volleyball career at Warner Pacific College in Portland OR. While there she was named Conference Setter of the Week twice during her senior season. At Warner Anderson also learned a new aspect of the game, specializing as a Libero during the 2006 season and part of the 2007 season. She graduated from Warner with a B.S. in Human Development. In the 2008 season, Anderson kicked off her coaching career as the Varsity Assistant at R.A. Long high school, her alma mater.

Kayli has been involved in coaching for Cowlitz Volleyball Club for five years, coaching at various age levels from 12 year old to 18 year old girls. She lives in Cathlamet, WA, and works at Monticello Middle School.
