Roster Complete
The 2008 Devils have topped off the roster with two standout prep players from SW Washington.  6-1 MB Sara Jesperson hails from Wahkiakum and Lib/OH Rachael Fair is from Woodland HS.  Both will be key components to the LCC attack.

The Devils began practice for the 2008 season on Friday August 15th.  Head coach Marcy Gilchrist is thrilled with the addition of Kevin Marts to the coaching staff.  

Kevin spent two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach for the Cougar women’s volleyball program. Marts has served as the captain and president of the WSU men’s volleyball club team for four years. He was named to the NIRS National Championship All-Tournament Team and to the Pacific Conference All-tournament Team four times. Two times Marts was named the Pacific Conference Tournament MVP. He has also played in tournaments on USAV select teams. In addition to playing with the WSU men’s club team, Marts was also the club’s head coach for two seasons. Other coaching experiences include the Palouse Juniors Girls Club under 17 team, at the Washington State Volleyball summer camp, at NBC summer camp, and at Colfax Junior and Senior Highs. Marts has also been an instructor for a volleyball class at WSU. Marts spent five summers working as a Merchant Marine and has two years of association with Cascade and Olympic National Parks Search and Rescue teams and was a search and rescue instructor at Torres del Paine National Park in Chile.

Three Red Devil recruits recently announced they will attend LCC during a ceremony at the LCC Student Center. Kari Sarysz, Talia Hamer, head coach Marcy Gilchrist and Denali Preston are excited for the 2008 season.

Red Devil Volleyball team member Tasia Trochim was named to the 2007 Western Division All Stars roster. She was the only player from LCC to be honored. To see the complete list. . . .
