Hazardous Waste Operator Certification (HAZWOPER)
This OSHA 40-Hour Certification course meets and exceeds requirements for 29 CFR Part 1910.120 and covers all aspects of hazardous materials and hazardous waste handling and operations. Students use various types of personal protective clothing, respirators, and sampling equipment, and participate in simulated hazardous materials cleanup and decontamination exercises.
A comprehensive manual and a copy of OSHA regulations are included as well as a certificate of completion. Materials covered include:

Flagger
This Washington State Flagging Safety Certification training is offered in compliance with the Evergreen Safety Council. The 8-hour training is available to currently certified flaggers renewing certification as well as new trainees. Current cardholders and new trainees must attend all 8 hours of classroom and hands-on training. If you need a picture on your ID card, bring a .75" x 1" picture to class. Certification is valid in WA, OR, ID and MT. Class offered at LCC in Longview and at LCC Woodland Center.

Food Handler
Health Cards or Food Handler cards are required by the Cowlitz County Health Department for all food service employees working in Cowlitz County restaurants, grocery stores, concession stands, and other venues that provide food to the public. Health Card testing is available at the LCC Admissions Building and at the LCC Woodland Center.
