To receive a transfer degree from LCC, you need to take English 101, English Composition. The AA and AA-DTA also require more. Many professional/technical degrees require college-level English too.
But why stop at just the required courses? Check the Catalog and course schedule for more options.
You could take Speed Reading (ENGL 161), Film and Drama Appreciation (ENGL 205), Creative Writing (ENGL 231-234) or study the masters with a fascinating literature class.
Tennyson, anyone?
You could write a story or poem for LCC's award-winning arts magazine, The Salal Review, or even join the staff.
Before you can enroll in English 101, you may need some extra work to reach college-level. Your COMPASS score in language arts may place you in ENGL 100, English Fundamentals, or in Individual Development courses. Your entry advisor will explain.
