While Lower Columbia College does not maintain its own police force, LCC makes considerable effort to provide a safe and healthy environment for students and employees. Security personnel are on duty nearly 24 hours a day to patrol buildings and parking lots, responding to emergencies, fire and security alarms and other problems. A security guard is on duty for evening classes and on weekends. 

LCC works closely with local law enforcement agencies. If special assistance is required or a crime is committed, the local agencies are called immediately to take charge, investigate and take necessary action.
