Board Policies
The Lower Columbia College Board of Trustees adopted a policy governance style of Leadership that provides for a more visionary role for the Board, greater empowerment of college administration, faculty and staff, and slimmer volumes of policies and procedures.

Policy Governance addresses four areas:
- Ends describe what benefits the Board expects to result from college activities.
- Governance Process clarifies the Board’s own job and rules.
- Board Staff Relationships describe the delegation and accountability linkage through the President.
- Executive Limitations describe the parameters on acceptable staff performance.
