Founded in 1934, Lower Columbia College (LCC) is a coeducational, two-year public college serving an average of 4,000 students each quarter.

LCC is located in the southwestern portion of Washington State.  The 26-acre campus, in the middle of the City of Longview, is within walking distance of the library, post office, city hall and many businesses.

Our community extends along the Columbia River and provides a truly Northwest experience. The Pacific Ocean is 70 miles (113 km) to the west and the Cascade Mountains are 130 miles (209 km) to the east.

Our region offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities, including skiing, sailing, golfing and fishing.

The larger metropolitan areas of Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington are nearby. LCC is 50 (80 km) miles north of Portland International Airport and 120 miles (193 km) south of Sea-Tac International Airport in Seattle. Washington State is about 2,500 miles (4,000 km.) west of the nation's capitol, Washington, D.C.
