High School Welding Competitions

Cowlitz Wahkiakum Career Development ConsortiumLocal high school students test their welding skills and gain exposure to the welding field.

Competitions made possible by Lower Columbia College and the Cowlitz Wahkiakum Career Development Consortium, in an effort to coordinate career and technical education resources for both students and businesses.

Students enrolled in welding courses at local high schools have the opportunity to earn Career Pathways credits to help jump start their educational goals.

High School Welding Competitions

Local students demonstrate proficiency in a variety of welding tasks from basic to advanced. Winning teams receive a trophy to display at their school.
