We are a two-year, public college founded in 1934. About 7,000 students attend each quarter. Classes are small, allowing for personal student attention.
Two-year transfer degrees and one or two-year certificates are available. Advising assistance is available for transfer to four-year universities and colleges.
Throughout the years we have been home to international students from 20 countries around the world.
Lower Columbia College is located in Longview, Washington, ideally situated between Seattle and Portland, Oregon. Recreational opportunities abound, including the scenic Columbia River, Mount St. Helens volcano, Pacific ocean beaches and Northwest forests.

Lower Columbia College provides a wide range of resources, along with personal assistance, to ensure students’ success, including advising, counseling, tutoring, library, and computer access. The Transfer Center provides field trips and excursions to regional universities.
