How to request a transcript evaluation

Beforehand:

  • You must apply and be admitted to LCC before an evaluation can be requested. Follow instructions to complete the application process.
  • The $30 non-refundable comprehensive application fee must be paid before transcripts will be evaluated.
  • Request official transcripts from all previous institutions. They can be mailed or hand delivered. Official transcripts are sealed and unopened.

Please note the file name and location where it is downloaded.You will need to attach the form in the next step.

Send the form

Open your email program. Attach the form. Send the email to crollins@lowercolumbia.edu. Include the subject line: 'Transcript Evaluation Form Submission'. You may add any text needed to clarify your request.

Acceptable Transfer Credits

In general, Lower Columbia College only accepts credits earned at institutions accredited by their regional accrediting association.

There are six regional accrediting agencies. Credits earned at the institutions accredited by one of the regional accrediting agencies are acceptable to Lower Columbia College.

  • New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC)
  • North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA)
  • Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges (MSA)
  • Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS)
  • Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
  • Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges (NWCCU)

To find out if an educational institution is accredited by their regional accrediting association, you can use the accreditation database provided by the US Department of Education's Office of Postsecondary Education. Search for an institution by its name and find its accrediting agency.

Additional Notes

  • Evaluations take place when all transcripts have been received.
  • LCC accepts transfers courses with a grade of C (2.0) or better. 
  • Once LCC receives your official transcripts they are the property of LCC and will not be returned or forwarded to
  • any other institution.
  • Turnaround times for evaluations are approximately 2-4 weeks after all transcripts have been received. During high volume periods turnaround time may be slightly higher.
