"We Have Lost the War On Drugs"
Society needs professionals trained in chemical dependency treatment. Education is the key to preventing chemical abuse/addiction. This is an exciting, expanding field.
Chemical Dependency Studies is a small, flexible program that leads to a 2-year Associate in Applied Science Degree. Chemical Dependency Studies courses are offered in the evening. Take courses in the recommended quarter sequence, as they are offered just once a year.
Once you've completed 10 courses in Chemical Dependency Studies, you may start a Cooperative Education internship. This internship will help you get the work experience needed for certification as a Chemical Dependency Professional. These professionals work in treatment centers, schools, industry, corrections, along with other areas.
