Nursing is a demanding and rewarding profession that requires strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, focused concentration when performing a task, attention to detail, the ability to work well with others, and extensive knowledge of the sciences.

Nursing Degree Guide - Comprehensive guide to nursing degree programs including interviews with practicing nurses, expert nursing articles and a directory of 7,000+ accredited nursing programs.


Nursing Certificate and Degree Options

Nursing Assistant
An 8-credit Certificate of Completion provides students the content and experience to give basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Practical / Registered Nurse
The Practical Nurse Certificate of Proficiency allows students to become a licensed practical nurse by completing the first four quarters of the nursing curriculum. 

The Registered Nurse Associate in Applied Science Transfer Degree is earned by completing the remainder of the nursing curriculum, enabling students to become a licensed registered nurse.

LPN2RN
The LPN2RN Associate in Applied Science Transfer Degree enables licensed practical nurses to become registered nurses. Two options are available: Campus Based and eLearning.

Rural Outreach in Nursing Education (RONE) limited availability
The RONE Associate in Applied Science Transfer Degree is a collaboration with rural hospitals throughout the state to provide access to nursing education in selected rural areas. If you are a rural healthcare worker in Washington State, you may be eligible for the RONE program.
