The Lower Columbia College Nursing Program offers an Associate in Applied Science Transfer Degree for LPNs desiring to become RNs (LPN2RN). Two options are available:
Classes are only open to admitted LPN2RN students.
Campus Based
The Registered Nurse - LPN2RN - Campus Based Program results in an Associate in Applied Science Transfer Degree (AAS-T).
The program is completed in three quarters. Students may begin in fall, winter, or spring, depending on space availability.
To be eligible, students must:
Qualified students are selected based on scores on the Nursing Admission Exams. Students must also meet the applicable clinical requirements.

eLearning
The Registered Nurse - LPN2RN - eLearning Program results in an Associate in Applied Science Transfer Degree (AAS-T).
The program begins in September and completes in August. Nursing theory courses are completed online. The skills lab and clinical courses are completed in or near Longview, WA in an intense 10 week summer session.
To be eligible students must:
- have graduated from a state-board approved PN program
- have worked a minimum of 1000 hours as an LPN
- hold a current unencumbered license as a practical nurse
- have completed all prerequisite and support courses with a grade of C or higher
- achieve the minimum required scores on the LPN Predictor Exam and Test of Academic Skills
Qualified students are selected based on scores on the Nursing Admission Exams. Students must also meet the applicable clinical requirements.
