The Lower Columbia College Nursing Program offers two nursing options: Practical Nurse Certificate of Proficiency and Registered Nurse Associate in Applied Science Transfer Degree.
The Practical Nurse Certificate of Proficiency allows students to become a licensed practical nurse by completing the first four quarters of the nursing curriculum.
The Registered Nurse Associate in Applied Science Transfer Degree is earned by completing the remainder of the nursing curriculum, enabling students to become a licensed registered nurse.

Upon successful completion of the remainder of the nursing curriculum, the student earns an Associate in Applied Science Transfer Degree and is eligible to apply to take the Registered Nurse examination (NCLEX-RN) to become a licensed registered nurse.
