About Us:
Welding Club members are enthusiasts of metal art work, fabrication, repair, sculpting, and welding practices used in industry. Members utilize their skills and further their education in the field of welding and fabrication. Welding Club members can keep records of projects completed, and continue to explore new facets of the industry.
What Do We Do?
Members use techniques taught in the welding lab to create and repair metal items and objects. New techniques and methods are discussed, and tutoring opportunities are available. Clinics on subjects are available, featuring the opportunity for students outside the program to learn and participate in a hands-on environment. Safety equipment will be needed, and project safety will be considered before accepting any new projects or beginning work.
Who Can Join?
Any student currently attending Lower Columbia College.
Meeting Times:
Meetings will be determined when schedules are likely to allow the most members to attend. Interested students can email schedules of availability to the club president and a meeting will be scheduled to fit. More than one meeting in a week is possible.
