Degree or Certificate Program Graduates
- Meet with your Advisor
Review your transcript and program planner with your advisor two quarters before you plan to graduate to ensure that you are on track to complete your degree or certificate program requirements.
- Apply for Graduation
Apply for graduation by the published deadline for the quarter you complete your requirements. See: Academic Calendar. Fall, winter and spring applications are due by the end of the fifth week of classes. For summer graduation, apply by the end of the first week of classes.
- Get Ready for Commencement
Commencement is open to all graduates since the previous June. See How to Participate in Commencement.
- Get Your Diploma
We'll prepare your diploma after final grades are posted, and you can pick it up or have it mailed to you. Your student ID number and Global PIN will still work after graduation to print out an unofficial transcript. Or, order an official transcript online.
- Summer Courses
If you are transferring to a 4-year university, consider getting ahead by taking summer classes at Lower Columbia College.
- Alumni
As an alumni you can share your story and sign up to receive Foundation alumni news. Just contact the LCC Foundation.
- Career & Employment Services
The Career Center is available to students, alumni and community members. Take advantage of career placement and job posting resources.
How to Participate in Commencement
This year's ceremony will be held at Kelso High School, Laulainen Stadium at Schroeder Field, due to construction on campus. In the past, graduates have been limited to four tickets for guests, but the move to Laulainen Stadium will allow graduates to invite as many guests as they wish to celebrate this wonderful achievement.
Participation is free and there is no charge for cap and gown. Each graduate will receive 10 complimentary graduation announcements.

Pick up cap and gown at Student Activities Office. Students who have earned an AA Degree with a GPA of 3.5 or above will receive an honor cord. Military or veteran students can pick up their military cord |

Attend commencement rehearsal in the Rose Center for the Arts on the LCC campus. You will receive your name card which allows you into the commencement line and provides the correct pronunciation of your name. |

Arrive at the dressing area in the large gym at Kelso High School (follow the signage). LCC staff will assist you with lining up in processional order. Please note: ceremony is outside. Please dress appropriately. |
After Commencement
Photography
LCC contracts with GradImages to take professional photographs of each graduate during Commencement. At the Commencement rehearsal graduates can provide contact information, either email or mailing address, to receive photo proofs and instructions on how to purchase copies.
Candid photos of the ceremony taken by LCC will be posted on flickr.com/Graduation a few weeks after the ceremony. These photos may be downloaded, printed and shared via email and social media.
